The men and women who died, were captured or were wounded in any battle never asked for that fate. To try to denigrate them as “losers” and “suckers” demeans any service member who has ever served, including all my uncles and aunts and a great many of my friends, all of whom I regard as heroes. Those who accepted responsibility and served our country, whether voluntarily or conscripted. Who are the Losers? Those who believe the Losers.
